This article is the reason Canada is having so many problems as a nation. The country of my ancestry has saddened me and possibly angered me. Don't mess with Bono, especially right after Ottowa loses the Stanley Cup.
Thanks to Victor for the article.

DUCKS WIN THE CUP!!
THE DUCKS ARE THE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!! I remember the very first game against the Yankees. I almost can't believe it. It's so amazing and awesome. The game tonight was great. I watched the whole thing on DVR when I got home from Jr High Group tonight. I'm so happy for Teemu Selanne and the other Ducks. I wish my dad never gave up the season tickets that we had for the first five or six years. I love this team and I have been loyal since they started the team here in Anaheim. These Ducks truly are mighty!!

Fun Night
Tonight I had a couple awesome and unique things happen.

1. I went to the AYSO Soccer Coach meeting and got my roster and the uniforms for my team. Grace and her best friend Cate are on the same team along with four other girls. This is U-5 (four year olds) soccer and should be interesting. I'm looking forward to making these girls run and work until they puke. Win at all costs!! This is what I will look like. Josh put a giant picture of this on my MySpace.

2. THE DUCKS WIN!! I got to watch the third period after the coach meeting. It was so stressful and amazing. One more win and the Ducks win the Stanley Cup. It's hard to believe after being at their very first game back at the Pond all those years (and bad teams) ago. Jiggy saved the day.

Thanks to the OC Register for their amazing photos. Best photographers ever!

So Pumped on Ducks
I'm starting to think that our home team might actually win the Stanley Cup!! 2-0. Now we have to go win in Ottawa. I'll keep this short because I don't think people really like my hockey posts.

Intensity
Oh man, watching the Ducks vs. Senators game on Monday was one of the most intense sports watching experiences ever. Right when they dropped the puck the players were skating twice as fast and hitting three times harder than a normal game. The Senators kept taking the lead and the Ducks had to battle back. But there is this sense of confidence you have when Pronger and Scott Niedermayer are on the ice. If the Ducks keep hitting hard and playing aggressive, but can cut down on the silly penalties (like Getzlaf's repeated cross-checks and May's pointless clothesline) then they will win the whole thing. Plus Jiggy is a stud.

Thanks to the OC Register for the great photos.

One Real and One Pseudo Competition
THE DUCKS WIN!!! They dominated the Yankees for the first 50 minutes. They almost blew it at the end, but the held strong. They are now in the NHL Finals against the Ottowa Senators. Canadians - Prepare to cry!! Depression will begin again soon. Jasen - I am very sorry that you feel the way you do right now. It must hurt to have your beloved Detroit Yankees lose. That was the real competition.
Now for the pseudo comp. American Idol. I call it a false competition because the lame song that the two dorkmeyers from Seattle wrote was completely created for a more traditional singer like Jordin. I like Jordin.
She is a better singer, but Blake is a million times more creative and interesting.
I want Blake to win, but my prediction is that Jordin will win it all. By the way, I never voted this whole season and I continued to keep my commitment tonight. I did not vote on American Idol - even though I watched every show and now I'm blogging about it.

Ducks Advance
I know the Canucks are from Canada and that Canadians love their hockey and that they love to make fun of our team name, but I have an official announcement. THE CANUCKS SUCK!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! You can interpret that as evil, maniacal laughter as I celebrate our glorious victory in only five games. I guess the Canuck fans will start rooting for Ottawa - only Canadian team left. I will root for them to make the Finals too.
Detroit is tied 2-2 with San Jose and either team would be an awesome opponent. The Canucks were fun because of family and friends in British Columbia. The San Jose Sharks are our ultimate rival and I can't stand them. The Detroit Red Wings are the NY Yankees of hockey and Jasen's favorite team so that would be a fun series too. GO DUCKS GO!! This next picture represents what happens to opponents of the "mighty" Ducks.

Time to Crush the Canucks
It's time for the Ducks to match up against the Vancouver Canucks. Anyone reading this from Vancouver Island should schedule an appointment with a good psychologist because you are going to need to deal with depression issues after May 1st. Yes, that's the day the fourth game will be played.
Scotty and the boys are going to shut down the Canucks with tough defense and the Finnish Flash!
